DEA MATE Act Requirement and CE Courses
Effective June 27, 2023 the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act enacted a one time requirement that all new and renewing DEA license holders must complete at least 8 hours of “training on treating and managing patients with opioid and other substance use disorders, and for other purposes, as well as the safe pharmacological management of dental pain.” The MATE Act recognizes the American Dental Association as an accredited organization to provide this training.
Below is a list of our courses that will satisfy this training requirement. Any combination of the courses can be taken:
- Alcoholism – 3 ce
- California Prescribing Schedule II Opioid Drugs – 3 ce
- Chemical Dependency – 2 ce
- Controlled Substance Prescribing Tennessee – 2 ce
- Pain Control and Management – 2 ce
- Prescribing Controlled Substances – 2 ce
- Safe & Effective Prescribing of Controlled Substances – 2 ce
- Substance Abuse and Addiction – 2 ce
- Substance Abuse Adult – 2 ce
